Pandemic Nudes 2020-2022
During the pandemic I found a great community with Brooklyn Figure Drawing, keeping my skills fresh drawing the human form virtually with artists all over the world.
Attending over 50 sessions, I settled into a technique I enjoyed using Prismacolor pencils, starting with bold line work I glean from artists like Egon Schiele, and quickly capturing an impression of the background models bring to the session.
After a specific Schiele-inspired session, I began using aqua-marine and blue-green colors to the otherwise warm palette of the flesh to enhance the contrast and create more interesting tones.
